The webcam we are using is a Creative Live Motion Webcam connected via hi-speed usb to a rather tired, but nonetheless ordinary run-of-the-mill PC. The shop also features a state of the art monitored CCTV security system so there are several cameras throughout the shop.

The webcam is a motion tracking camera which whilst designed to track a face close-up, does the job quite well of keeping the artist and client in picture. Between 31st January 2007 and February 6th 2007, the webcam received over 1300 hits!!
The only camera that intrudes on privacy of having work done, is the webcam. A notice is in effect warning people that a webcam is in operation and that if they are not happy being broadcast live, then we will turn the camera away for the duration of their work - after all, it's not there to embarrass people!
