Lettering Tattoos
Okay so you've decided you want a loved ones' name or a lyric or some other text. Great. Pick your font and lets get cracking.
You want a translation - ah, now that's a whole different kettle of fish. The only words of wisdom we can offer here, is to be 100% sure of the translation before you ask us to tattoo it onto you forever. It's all good and well saying "you've looked it up on the internet" or that you've seen loads of people with it - that's doesn't make it right. Some chinese language for example won't literally translate western text character-for-character. What you may end up with is a phonetic translation with the first symbol meaning the sound "ant", the second meaning "toe" and the third meaning "knee". you think you've just had your name tattooed across your chest but it's actually more like a chinese version of "dem bones dem bones". It's far fetched but you get the point. You wouldn't ask smeone to build you a house just because they work in a brick factory.
If you really want translated text and for the meaning to carry through in the translation, then pay a professional translation service to do it for you. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind and is far less than potential laser removal some years down the line.
We cover all of the most popular scripts/fonts, Old English, Gothic, Script etc, but if there's something a little out of the ordinary you need, just call in and let us know - rarely can we not produce something to cover your needs. Bring a print out of what you want, the font for the computer, it doesn't matter. Normally, we can easily work out what we're doing and how to get there.
Size doesn't always matter and lettering Tattoos don't neccessarily have to be massive shoulder-emblazoned affairs. We have done many a discreet scroll and pledge Tattoo in our time. If it can physically be done without squinting to the point of making Billy's eyes bleed, then your idea shouldn't be a problem.
